January 25, 2012   Hi all, I have two teaching announcements and one new painting to share.

Announcement 1 – I will be teaching a 4 day workshop along side fabulous encaustic artist Daniella Woolf this spring for the Art Association at the Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole.  The details are as follows:”Encaustic Combo,Watercolor + Wax”, Daniella Woolf & Kay Stratman, May 29 – June 1, Tues – Fri | 9am –4:30pm. I will teach P’o Mo painting as a base for the multitude of encaustic techniques you will learn from Danielle.  It will be lots of fun, I guarantee. Don’t intimidate yourself by expecting a masterpiece.  Expect instead to learn many new techniques, and new art form, create a mess, and some delightful artwork as well.  (See my description of Danielle’s Encaustic workshop last year, below.) The enrollment deadline is April 27.  The link to the Art Association website, in order to sign up is: http://www.artassociation.org, and is on page 12 of the catalog.

Announcement 2 – I will be teaching SPLASH AND POUR – Watercolor without the Fear  (really!) on SATURDAY MAY 19 at the Art Association/Center for the Arts in Jackson Hole from 10am – 9pm.  P’o Mo techniques, demostrations, lots of hands-on.  Either beginning or intermediate.  Learn something new, refresh your memory from past workshops, adapt it to your own style of painting.  Anything goes.  Some materials will be provided. The link to the Art Association website, in order to sign up is: http://www.artassociation.org, and is on page 10 of the catalog.
